I agree; that scorpion guy kicks A.S.S. Forget those other two dorks in the pinup section. This is a villain!!
Oh, and the girl looks good, too. =8^)
Now, looking at the background. The trash can looks like it could've been made from 3D software. The wall and ground, however, look too real to be cooked up the same way. Is this another photo manip? If so, it really works, considering how the lighting and shadows play. The girl and (um) guy look like they could have been molded from foam rubber or something and actually put on the scene to be photographed. Seriously. Maybe it's because the image is just fuzzy enough? Sorta like how you can tell a digital effect in a movie because it's too crisp. Anyway.

The whole scene is done with 3D models. The ground and wall are textured the same way the figures are - there's a texture and bump map, and like the skin on the female figure, they were created from photos of the real deal (the alien may have been done the same way,but I'm not positive). The urban setting is a whole environment that the figures can move around in.
