While I've made mention of this roleplaying game before, I think it's worth an additional mention, simply because of all the background information on the times it contains. it's currently available on Amazon.com with new copies going for about $22, and used for $20 and under. while very 'steampunk' in nature, it also contains a lot of useful background. For example, here's an aside they have about the values of the time. |

VICTORIAN VALUES
Victorian society was characterized by strong adherence to a widely accepted set of values, and many of the actions of the British government and her citizens can be explained by that. Each value tended to produce virtues and vices, sometimes, paradoxically, at the same time and in the same person. All that was best and all that was worst about Victorian society lay in these virtues and vices.
HONESTY: VIRTUE Personal Integrity, Fair Dealing VICE Naivete and disdain for alien codes of behavior
LOYALTY: VIRTUE Sense of duty VICE Failure to examine orders or actions of comrades
RESOLUTION: VIRTUE Dynamism, Sense of purpose VICE Inflexibility, Intolerance
"PROGRESS": VIRTUE Concern for improvement VICE Disregard for foreign values, Tendency to meddle
ENTHUSIASM: VIRTUE Good humor, Vigor VICE Lack of foresight and planning, Failure to learn from others
SPORTSMANSHIP: VIRTUE Fitness, Team Spirit VICE Obsession with games, Anti-intellectualism
BRAVERY: VIRTUE Courage, Leadership VICE Rashness, Militancy
DETACHMENT: VIRTUE Fair judgment, Cool reasoning VICE Coldness, Lack of sympathy
PRIDE OF RACE: VIRTUE High self-esteem VICE Racism, Bigotry
At his (or her) best the Victorian Englishman combined a boyish zest for hard work and adventure with tremendous personal courage and integrity. At his worst he was smug, prudish, half-witted, hostile to everything alien to his race and class, and pointlessly obsessed with sporting activities. The difficulty for outsiders was that very often all these attributes, positive and negative, could be found in the same individual. Add to this mixture the frequent eccentricities cultivated by Victorians, and one might meet a particularly 'rum character' or 'queer fish,' a fellow whose obvious virtues were somehow counterbalanced by strange or unattractive quirks of character. |

The anthromorphic one I can suggest, and I believe I've made mention of it before is "After the Bomb" which can help anyone new to Anthromorphism help flesh out how far human and how much animalistic your character is. It ranges in everything from the physical body, to natural skills, even how developed one's brain is.
Also its good to see you Drake. You should come by more often if you can. How are your writings and workings coming along? |

I've always had fun with Ironclaw and Albedo if you want furry RPGs. Ironclaw especially. Such a fascinating combat system, I love how it works and feels when you got it down.
And I'm (Somewhat) pleased to see I maintain most of those values, save for Sportsmanship. I fit in pretty well, it seems. |

Worldtree (don't remember the publisher) and Mutants in Orbit (Palladium, aka Rifts) are two more RPG's that center around anthropomorphic animals. |

All good anthro roleplaying games. and I have most of them. I recommend 1889 not because it's anthro, but because of the setting and the sheer amount of information on the era that GDW put into the book. While the rules set in the book is rather weak, the background and history more than makes up for it.
Thinking on it, I'd suggest visiting Amazon.com and reading the reviews that buyers have put up, they give a real feel for the book overall. |

This could easily become quite popular, all of us posting the virtues and vices we posses from this list. |

Oh, pretty much all of them. Just don't get me started on the innate greatness of the vulpine race (and vixens in particular). |

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I can somewhat sympathize though, as my first (and most frequent) fursona is a fox. |

Well, if we're going by fursonas, I'm afraid I'm far off from the normal feline, being that I don't have such a high sense of pride that the usual feline has. |

Neither did I. I was referring to my "Vulpine eyes" joke. |
