I have this game. Its especially fun that I must have played through the story 4 times so far. Granted I did go half those times as a Mage/Sorcerer/Magic Archer. Granted that got boring fast. Right now I'm playing through as an Assassin.

No, the game itself is never boring, its just lacking in consistency where traveling is concerned. The world itself does get repetetive until you get the port crystals, and even then the ferry stones are expensive if you are just starting out.

well I mean, I heard the boring parts are the foot on traveling all the time
lol so yeah it's got a poor travel system.

Its wierd though considering that almost the entire south western regions of the entire map don't even seem necessary. This is both to the story and gameplay.

I'm an assassin currently. And my main pawn in Rydian. She is my Sorcerer who is pretty good to me so far. She should be around level 86 though.

I've been told DD is a bit like Monster Hunter. I must ask is this true? Ive seen gameplay footage, but I would rather ask a veteran of the game for details rather than watch a video.

It does indeed have some aspects of that game where you get to fight monsters of various shapes and sizes. Granted, most of what I have fought were mainly goblins and wolves, with the occasional bandit or saurrian. It takes elements of the shadows of th colossus where you can even climb the larger monsters and bash away at them with your weapon. The class system in the game can be very tiresome sometimes because of how it affects the leveling, and with only one save state, you can't exactly abandon one character to start another to see how it affects you. Not without deleting your other character at least. I actually started over and deleted my old magic archer to make a warrior/assassin build. I kinda don't regret it, but I did'nt like it either.
