| I was laying on the sofa watching a movie earlier. And Charlie was by the door miowing to go out. It was raining and lightening outside, so i didnt let him out. I carried on watching the movie when Charlie jumped on top of me and in the space of a couple of seconds he scratched my face, neck and both arms. About 4 of the scatches broke the skin, and was bleeding pretty bad. I have 2 big scracthes on my cheek, my neck and all over my hands and arms. His claws are also blunt right now, as he just had them trimmed so imagine what he could do with sharp claws. Im really not sure what to do with him as he seems to be getting worse instead of better. He has never attacked me this bad before. I think i will have to try, and get his balls cut off hoping that will make him less agressive. I will have to make an appointment with the vet tomorrow to see what they suggest. As im not going to live in terror of my cat!

| wow sounds like Charlie has been a real *@#hole. I think it sounds like a good idea to let the vet 'help' him. That will calm him down. It seems he's suffering from too much testosterone . Sounds even scary...
Oh good thing to hear it rained. Does this mean it becomes less warm?

| hey martina..and welcome home. that saturday session you had sounds brutal
hope the thunderstorms have cooled the weather down some.

allow me to be blunt about charlie lol

i'd get rid of his scratching ass...pets are supposed to bring enjoyment and pleasant company. he sounds as though he's got problems.

go back to the pet shop or the shelter and try for something with a more pleasant nature.

charlie....its time to leave the island

| Yes Charlie can be very scary. I hate to just give him up though. He obviously has some probs, and i want to try to help. I will try everything i can and if it doesnt work then i will have to consider giving him up. With the scratches on my face, neck and arms. And the bruises on my legs from drunken nights im not making a great model ROFL
If i do end up having to give him up, the next pet i get for sure will be a baby animal, that way ill be able to tell if its me or not making them crazy
And if my next pet goes crazy too, i better not ever consider having kids | | _________________

 I doubt it is you.
The problem with pets and little kids is that you can't talk to them and ask what is the matter. You have to sense it and that's not always an easy task even quite frustrating at times.

| Yeah....... cut his nutts. Seems to work with house pets most of the time. Sorry to hear he was a bad cat. Hope your scratches heal nicely. Next time, let him out of the house in bad weather.... maybe he'll learn his lesson the hard way. | | _________________

He worried you before.. maybe he has to go

 You already tried many things
..just does not seem to work

| Martina I was horrified to read that I hope you are ok ..
There is a tomcat here where I am staying who has had the snip and is the really sweet and friendly. He waits for me to get home from work and then follows me up the stairs and sits on my bed for a bit. My other tomcat I had when I was a kid was even friendlier - he had the snip too.

It sounds mean but it is the only way to stop them being aggressive. And I think he more than deserves it

| Greer, now 60, had been a rebellious if bright student who went on to become an intellectual celebrity who renounced the church, advocated rampant sexual freedom for women, trashed marriage and the family and fulminated against the imposition of Western values on indigenous peasant cultures throughout the world. In short, Greer had repudiated every value Mother Eymard had lived by and attempted to instill in her, but the nun nevertheless remembered her as "that wonderful girl." Likewise, Gloria Steinem recalls her with warmth, shrugging off the way Greer disparaged feminist activists in her fabulously successful 1970 book "The Female Eunuch" and despite the dismissive account Greer wrote for Harper's of the National Women's Political Caucus Steinem had fought to send to the 1972 Democratic Convention. Steinem reminisces about dining with Greer at a restaurant as the Australian loudly extolled the importance of vaginal secretions to the scandalized delight and fascination of a table of women. "I remember thinking it was a very valuable piece of information, being very grateful to her and wonderfully entertained at the same time," Steinem told Wallace. "She was terrific."
 OH Ok, she sounds cool

| My cat when i got him they said he was neutered. I spoke to a friend tonight and apparantly the reason my cat has saggy balls is cause they took the balls out, and left the sack, so hes pretty much already had the snip. Never again will i get a male animal, more trouble then they are worth I just hope the huge scratch down my cheek will fanish soon, as they can not be covered with make up Think i will go for just girls in the futire as they are less hassle and more fun for sure | | _________________
