I just thought that it may be interesting if we you know talked about our first friends here on Pleasure Bon Bon. I know that mine was probably Mayfield. being the first to comment on my Fursona, and to be the first to arrive at my party.

Dont really believe ive made friends on PBB. I tend to drift in and out of the forum. So, people tend to forget I was ever around.

Pretty much all the people I first interacted with here are gone now. I think that members like Johnny, Labrn, Ashton and Xebulon were probably among the first I interacted with on more than a basic level. It's a little hard to remember correctly now, though, as it's been so long.

Many of the people I've gotten to know later on are only here rarely, and I've pretty much stopped trying to get to know any of the people who join these days.

Poor Symphony... So jaded by the passage of time. At least I still show my face from time to time, albeit I doubt I am as venerable as those previous names. I miss seeing those others regularly as well, I admit.

I am not sure who I could say was 'first'... Though I think it was probably Johnny. It was the hat. Razz

Well, first interactions aside, I'd actually have to say my first friend on here was Marx-Paragon. Many of the others with whom I would consider friends have since faded almost as quickly as they had come. A year and four months now, since the start of my second subscription, so it is a bit difficult to remember all the faces that had come and gone since then.

I think my frost friend on this site was Julia Lovepaw. But she has since disappeared. Crying or Very sad

But nonetheless, new friends are made every day and every moment, those friendships grow.

If you really want to get some perspective on the matter, just browse through all the custom avatar requests, and I mean the older threads as well, even some of the people who have been cleared are hardly around anymore. If memory serves, there have been a few that have joined the forums without enough funds to join the main site, but planned to. Then unexpected costs come up that prevent it and they move on. I know that was the case with Marx, so I hope he someday has the means by which to return.

Most of the time it's really impossible to tell why people disappear from a place like this. Some leave a goodbye message telling why they won't be around anymore, while others simply stop posting. I have seen people leave because of financial reasons, where they haven't been able to afford a membership any longer. There are those who have implied a dissatisfaction with the way the community here is, or have simply lost interest in posting here. Some are just too busy in their personal life to show up here regularly or at all.

I think that the tendency of the last year of so, has been a decline in activity in the non-ropleplaying sections, which may be a result of, or the reason for, some people leaving.

I can easily say I have a friend in nearly everybody here. The greeting that welcomed me here always remains true to me as the driving force for me staying here. So I can't say there is nobody I don't like, because even with the minor skirmishes here and there, it always ended a slight make up and going about our business.
