I wasn't sure where exactly to put this, but this seems like a good place for it. The purpose of this thread will be to point out some of your observations to things that seem to be an ongoing trend, on the site or elsewhere.

Is it just me, or do most of the new guys have a tendency to overdo it when it comes to posts regarding attractive ladies? I understand you want to compliment them, but there's a line between being polite and being a spectacle. Maybe some of you are just trying to be funny, maybe some of you just really don't realize it, I don't know. What I do know, is that it's getting old quick, or at least to me.

Maybe its because there new too this type of forum. I mean, this is a tad more mature then most forums. If that makes sense...

........... Shocked ..................

dry I guess I fall into that category dry

To be honest beyond just being polite, there are 3 reasons I say what I say and how I say it.

1. I enjoy testing my vocabulary, my creativity, and my limits. I take great pride when I look back at my work then comparing it to everyone else and their post; and realize that my words can create a vivid picture in the mind of the readers.

2. competitiveness, when someone just writes a single sentence for . I strive to try and set myself apart from regular or casual members. If someone tries show off, I will step up my own work till one of us runs out of inspiration or until someone concedes.

3. If I'm inspired enough to say something of worth or importance I'm going to say everything that comes to mind. I often have amazing ideas, but if I don't write them down I wont be able to remember them the next day.

not to say that its wrong to keep your posts simple, Its just the way my mind works. ^_^

I'm trying to fall under a category that flows between the cracks in that department. You know, in a place where I would post where it would seem the most appropriate. I don't even really talk to the females unless it was more or less in a way where they start talking about something that picqued my interest.

There are those who have their favourite members, I think. It's not something new, though. I have in almost my entire time here been seeing these patterns of how people post. There are those who clearly have one or two members they are more fond of, for various reasons. It's not something I have a problem with, though I find it unfortunate if it leads to such members paying less attention to everyone else, or if it leads to them chatting back and forth offtopicly in several threads.
