| It was morning, and not the typical kind which was often sunny and full of warmth. Today is quite the contrary, with strong, howling winds that tore loose shingles right off the roof, and the soft pitter-patter of rain across the panes of windows in the warm homes. While most would remain indoors during this time of day, one stood at the door of a residential home, almost soaked if not for the weather protective gear draped around his body, rummaging through a black bag for one of the letters he was to deliver. "Come on, I know its here somewhere", he grumbled under the breath, muffled by a gust that nearly pressed him into the door. "Ah, here it is", he exlaimed happily, pulling out a small scroll with a family crest on its seal. It was odd not to send letters without an envelope, but it was delivered beyond Ostia, so he had no complaints since postage pretty much paid for itself. He knocked on the door, hiding his face under the large green cap to keep his muzzle from getting dripped on. "Delivery", he shouted with an authoritative, professional tone. |
