Well, when I first returned to the community and finally became active, I was in a pretty bad place. There's still a lot of stress going on, I won't lie, but today has afforded me a positive change that has broken the darkness.

No job, little in the way of qualifications, and tired of being unemployed, I knew I wanted to go to school. However, having not been a Florida resident for a year, the prospect of paying out of state tuition wasn't very appealing. My wife, however, could still apply under the in-state tuition and having had the day off, decided to get some information. Well, I was going to be going to help with some construction, but slept in with my wife. Rather than stay at home, I went with her to the college. Lucky I did, since being married to her allowed me to qualify for in-state tuition and it seems the two of us will be going to school for the fall semester in August, likely at a local campus that's walking distance from our house. Also, since we had a less than favorable combined income last year, we'll likely be approved for some generous financial aid.

So, two years of school for our programs. We can either transfer for a four year degree or look for jobs right out. I know that for mine, entry level annual salary is a little more than double what we made combined last year. Needless to say, I look forward to finally getting my act together and getting my life back where I want it.
