i'm about to throw this computer out the window!! Angry

it's been getting worse over the past few months (slower, and error messages) then this past weekend, my kids got online and really screwed things up...

now i've got windows popping up and closing all over the place, programs starting and shutting down on their own...

to top it off, it took me 20 minutes to log into tonight's chat, and once i was in, it really wouldn't let me chat Crying or Very sad

so, i'm gonna go buy a cheap computer to get me by until i buy my imac, maybe i should put that on my wish list!

...sorry guys, just had to vent... Wink

J3, it sounds like your pc is infested with spyware. At the least, they are just annoying pop-ups directing you to unwanted sites, at the worst, they can track any personal info you have on the pc. Nowadays, it's hard to tell spyware from viruses. Any financial transactions you make online or login info you enter can be tracked and used. I strongly urge you have a pc repair guy look at removing them if you don't feel like doing it yourself. The safest way to be sure is a total wipeout of the hard drive and re-install of Windows. These programs are so pervasive now that they can attach themselves to the core files of windows that even anti-virus software and spyware removal tools can't remove them.

I'm dealing with that issue right now. My boss decided to infect his pc 2 days ago.

i was afraid of that, and have been careful not to log into my cc or bank accounts from my computer, just in case... don't know if that is protecting me or not, but for now, that will have to do.

it's time to put this computer down anyways - it has a broken leg, and it's the humane thing to do Wink

it has lived a good life - about 4 years now, so i think i'm just gonna buy a new one Confused

To get a release for all the frustration it has caused you through those years, do as I do: throw it out the window!

It works, and the only downside to it is that you have to go down and pick up the pieces afterwards, provided you can find them Razz
