Well seems like there is a good high % vote for "Other" in the Who is your favorite female comic book character poll...
This is making me very curious to know-- who are the others??
For all those members who voted "Other"- please feel free to share with the rest of us you consider to be your favorite female comic book character...

Jonni Future from "Tom Strong's Terrific Tales"
Deena Pilgrim from "Powers"
Engineer from "The Authority"
Spark, Dream Girl and the pre-snake Princess Projectra from the Legion
There's more, but that's the best I can do at 1 a.m.

Wasp and Scarlet witch have always been my two favorites with Black Canary and Power Girl being close behind!
Actually, I have been meaning to ask Jeff if he would do a Wasp of Scarrlet Witch type character but he already has an enormous backlog of miscellaneous characters, as well as his new Franchise X creations. I couldn't get up the nerve to ask him!

Sydney Savage, Abbey Chase, or Natalia Kassle, from Danger Girl.
Firestar, from Marvel's Avengers.
Starfire (heh), from DC's Titans.
Psylocke, from X-Men.
White Queen, from X-Men.
Boomer (aka Boom-Boom, aka Meltdown, but I like the New Mutants version better than the X-Force one).
Brandy, from Liberty Meadows.
Red Monika, from Battle Chasers.
Bliss, from DV8.
Harley Quinn, from Batman.
Cammy White, from Capcom.
Mai Shuranui, from King of Fighters.
Kasumi, Ayane, Lisa, Tina, Helena, Hitomi, Lei-Fang, and Christie, from Dead or Alive.
Cavewoman.
Druuna.
Lady Death.
Dawn.
The latest incarnation of Teela from the He-Man cartoons.
Sorry you asked yet? =)

I think the question is "Who IS your favorite?" denoting "ONE".
(NOT who ARE your favorites.)
I'm starting to sound like The Artitect from Matrix now...
The function of the one.... blah blah blah...
Please choose one female from the entire list of the female race in the comic book universe... blah blah.... blah...
Almost half of some of these chicks I've never heard of....

Okay. My "one" is the Wasp. She would be good for the JB site too because she isn't yet another "amazon" style character. I think her physique would be similar to Flasher's, except not as tall. Jan is only 5' 4" tall.
I was tempted to say Brandy from Liberty Meadows except I think Wonder Broad already looks a lot like her already. Hmmm. Maybe THAT is why I like WB so darned much... .

Ehh. I meant my list mostly just for inspiration anyway. My favorite varies from time to time; these have all filled that spot at some point. At the time I marked "Other" on the poll, I was thinking of Sydney Savage.
Speaking of inspiration, I forgot Caitlin Fairchild and Roxy Spaulding from Gen13...

I've been wanting to do an inch-high girl for a while now - lots of possibilities! Also, a 50-foot woman could be fun, too. More character ideas!

I think Janet Van Dyne shrinks to about four inches. But, hey, an inch is as good as a mile. Er, I will be quiet now. |
