Familiar with the sounds my city makes
the lights work in the order
I know just when I have 2 give it a crank
traffic is a jam in the weekday afternoon
hurry up wait n go in medal coffins on wheels
while sitting behind the dashboard n ur life is consumed
take back the minutes of what once was ur youth
why should anyone have 2 see ur life in a rearview mirror
when im on my bicycle there is nothing but open road
an obstacle corse that does not avoid danger
but once u realize u r on ur own
there is a simple pleasure we must all pursue
discovery that leads 2 the back way of ur destination
feeling the sun rest on ur shoulders
enjoying what we from time 2 time 4get gods own creation
mother nature will b there 2 test ur strength
through the heat wind n rain
push ur body make it work that much harder
than those who may try n break u
when we keep reaching 4 the finish line
keep reaching out further
cause there is so much more ur life has 2 gain |
