This is a tradition here (at least in Belgium and France) : to offer "Lily of the valley" (muguet)to women today 1st may!
So to all of the women of AB Nation!

Do you celebrate it in your country?

That's a cool tradition orange. Is it about spring and fertility? |

Here in norway 1st may is a offical holiday / bank holiday (?) / day off, so the day is red in the calendar.
And it's also my birthday |

@polarcircle: Happy belated birthday, then!
@ orange: In Germany, the 1st of May is a holiday as well. Translated it means something like "day of work". Actually I do not really know what we should be celebrating, regarding all those unimployed people here...
Well, still we have something similar: Traditionally, young men meet in groups of friends the night before the 1st of May. They collect small birches, decorate them with colourful ribbons and go to stand them up at the house of the girl they like. I do not know this tradition´s background, sadly... |

Seems like I forgot to mention it, but it's "day of work" here in Norway too.
Or "workers day off", something like that. |
