Well you know they changes things and edited and give a character a new makeover or rescripted lines, plot and dialogue
I know Nintendo mostly does it still and now
but ever other game company are open minded
but Ninendo sure can trick you about they're censorships
about sexuality, beer, religion and other things.

exsample if there was a
"female" character you liked and kinda got a crushed on

she could originally been a femmin male in Japan
so... LOL on you Nintendo trapped you

oh and how can soda get you drunk? XD
*the replace beer with soda rescripting*

funny tho Comic books had to follow guid lines too
back then no gore, blood, sexual content "even if it's soft", etc ,etc.

You know, I remember old SNES games that still failed with their censorships, especially in certain RPGs like Tales of Phantasia. I remember some games having the 'alcohol references' but hardly ever saw the stuff.
