As an amateur writer with something of a less than expansive vocabulary, I've always found myself running into the trouble of not knowing more ways of how to say someone said something. Reading books, I've always noticed that 'said' just doesn't get used all that much and relying on 'said' too often can make the characters seem... well, flat. Not to mention it gets all sorts of repetative. However, while knowing that a myriad of other ways to say something exists, I just never actually knew what those ways were.
Finally, I found a brilliant little piece with Google and shall no doubt refer to it many, many times as I continue to write.
As this is an RP forum and there is much story writing going on here, I figured that my little discovery might also benfit some people here, as well. So, here you guys go, 300 ways to say said. |

Interesting. I always thought that the word in question was mentioned more times than I cared to see, especially when you have to read it over and over again. |

You? Need help with your writing? You may have more than a few screws loose in that head of yours, but help with your writing is one of the LAST things you need. More like a fulltime writing contract. |
