(( Sooo.... I'm watching Vampire Bund while I work on my next anime review, and... ugh. For as much as I disliked Rosario Vampire, I do appreciate how it pretty much made the fights a comical-Mel-Brooks parody. I'm not terribly fond of the whole idea of super-powered characters vs. secret organizations. Shoot, even "Project Cadmus" was competent enough to actually raid Justice League HQ and steal valuble items from there. So far... all these secret organizations are about as dangerous as a hangnail. And the sexyness is more... creepy than sexy right now.
And the love story feels really forced too. Petite Cossette did that sort of "forgotten / star crossed" lovers way better, and... Cossette was considerably more of a character.
So... yeah. I'm not really liking this... at all. A very poor first-impression, after three episodes. Right now, Vampire Bund is sitting at a C-. )) |
