Who else here is a fan of this franchise? I love these movies (except Hulk), and I'm eagerly looking forward to the next Avengers movie, and most of the other ones as well. I'm even curious about the Doctor Strange movie, though I don't know much about the character.

I actually enjoy watching a lot of Marvel based movies. The Avengers theatre version was so enjoyable, that I ended up watching it every weekend for a month straight after it was released, and hopefully the 2nd one will be just as good.

Its sad that DC does so well with their TV shows to a certain degree, but fall so flat on their theatrical releases.

I really like Christopher Nolan's Batman movies, though I still prefer Marvel.

The character I'm most looking forward to seeing in the next Avengers movie is actually Captain America. I really like how he's being portrayed, and especially after The Winter Soldier, he is by far my favorite. It's funny, though, before these movies, I thought Captain America was an incredibly boring character. Smile

Honestly, the clashing natures of the heroes they had in the first movie worked in the favor of those who made it. Pretty much all the complications of the characters in prior movies made the buildup all the more satisfying. From:

Stark's ego.
Thor's arrogance.
The Hulk's fear for the loss of control
Captain America's naivety and
Hawkeye and Black Widow's complex relationship

I guess it doesn't help that the movies had better director's too.

The difference between Iron Man and Captain America is one of my favorite parts. It's one of the reasons why I'm so eagerly awaiting Captain America: Civil War.

I also really liked the relationship between Captain America and Black Widow in The Winter Soldier. They were so different, and I especially liked how she wanted to help him get a date Laughing

"worked in the favor of those who made it"

We're talking about Joss Whedon, here. Of course he'd make it work. lol

And what was wrong with Hulk?

I just didn't like the movies. It's probably because I don't really like the character, though I did like Bruce Banner in Avengers. I also think that the first scene with the Hulk, where he seemed completely like a monster, worked pretty well.

Maybe I'd be more interested if they did a reboot with Mark Ruffalo.

You know they need to cast Lou Ferrigno

I do quite thoroughly enjoy the Marvel Cinematic universe so far, though admittedly I haven't seen all of them yet. It certainly makes you wonder about DC, as far as I know the only well-received DC movies as of late were the Christopher Nolan Batman movies.

Moving forward, there are quite a few things I am curious about. One of the main ones is whether or not Marvel will be able to reclaim properties such as Spider-Man and X-Men.

DC seems to be a wild card for me. Movie-wise I pretty much only enjoyed what I previously mentioned. Although I had enjoyed Arrow as a series (haven't finished catching up on it yet) and haven't gotten to the point with Flash. But will the TV series be canon with the cinematic universe? I'm less-inclined to believe so as some of the bad guys that I know have already appeared in Arrow aren't using the same cast members for the upcoming Suicide Squad, which may well be the only other DC feature I bother to watch.

Ehh... no Very Happy

I'm still not sure what to think of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". I hope it'll feel more like the latest Batman movies than the Avengers movies. I want it to be darker and with less comic relief than the Marvel movies, just so it's different from them.

Considering it is intended as a follow up to Man of Steel, I don't think you have to worry about the movie not being dark enough. ._.
